The Importance of Air Quality

We spend as much as 90% of our time indoors; therefore good indoor air quality is very important to us. However, in the process of economic development, mainly due to the destruction of earth's natural resources, air pollution has been and continues to be significant health hazard. Every day, we are surrounded by micro dust particles, viruses and bacteria that are impossible to get rid off even with an air filter. Over time, there air borne particles linger in the environment and cause a variety of illnesses such as mental stress, clogged blood arteries, allergies, asthma, depression and hypertension, just to name a few.

Economic Development And Air Pollution Bad Effects of Positive Ions On Human
Economic development, urbanization, and rapid population growth are the major causes of air pollution. Air pollution generates positive ions. For example, using a microwave oven generates 4800 unit/cc while a gas stove generates 3000 unit/cc of positive ions. Other significant sources of positive ions come from the smoke released by factories, gases emitted by vehicles as well as less known source such as computer devices that we use daily. Positive ions acidity our body system besides oxidizing our body cells, leading to accelerated aging and contracting disease of the modern days such as atherosclerosis, allergic reactions, cancers, constipation and shoulder pains. Positive ions also caused excessive accumulation of lactic acid in the muscles, thus resulting in body aches, headaches as well as muscle fatigues.
